Cicero Networks Powers Com Hem’s New OTT Mobile VoIP Service

Extending subscribers home phone service to mobile devices

Cicero Networks www.ciceronetworks.com, a leading provider of mobile VoIP and fixed mobile convergence solutions, today announced that Com Hem, Sweden’s leading cable operator, has launched a new mobile VoIP service “Hemtelefon i mobilen” using Cicero OTT VoIP client software.

The new service enables Com Hem’s fixed-line telephony customers to use their landline service on mobile devices. Designed to connect up to five mobile phones to the same home phone number, it enables subscribers to make and receive calls using their home phone service on their mobile phones and tablets at any Wi-Fi location. Importantly the benefit of the service is not just limited to calling within Sweden. When users are travelling abroad they can benefit from low cost calls using the Hemtelefon i mobilen service. The smartphone app runs on both Android and iOS devices.
