Cicero Networks Receives Internet Telephony® Magazine's "Product of the Year" Award for 2005

CiceroPhone Honored for Outstanding Innovation

Cicero Networks announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation's (TMC®) Internet Telephony® magazine (www.itmag.com) has named CiceroPhone, Cicero Networks converged wireless softphone, as a recipient of a 2005 Product of the Year Award. Internet Telephony has been the VoIP Authority Since 1998.

CiceroPhone is the industry's first fully converged softphone which supports VoWi-Fi and Cellular calls through a single softphone on a range of Wi-Fi enabled smartphones and PDAs. Designed and optimised specifically for low processing- power wireless devices, CiceroPhone enables fixed-line operators and alternative service providers to offer their enterprise and residential customers highly cost-effective wireless VoIP services. From an end-user perspective, it means users can make and receive all of their calls – VoIP, Fixed-line, PBX and Cellular - on a single wireless device.

“Each year Internet Telephony magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. Cicero Networks has demonstrated to the editors of Internet Telephony that CiceroPhone is a key enabler of fixed-mobile convergence, offering a highly intuitive, easy to use softphone which delivers the true benefits of convergence – a single device for all calls - today,” said Rich Tehrani, Group Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Internet Telephony.

“We are delighted that CiceroPhone has been selected to receive the Internet Telephony 2005 Product of the Year award”, said Elaine Treacy, VP Marketing of Cicero Networks.“It further reinforces our market leading position in delivering fixed mobile convergence capabilities to telecommunication service providers worldwide”.
